About Passover

Reilly is learning about Passover at school right now. They tell the stories to the kids in a way that is easy to understand and in a simplified way. One of the things they have taught them is about the Jews being slaves.

When we picked Reilly up from school on Friday, she was very excited to share with us her bag of art projects she made for Passover. We decided we would stop for burritos on our way home, and when we got out of the car Reilly wanted to bring in her Passover book.

Daddy was in line ordering for us, and Reilly ran up to him with her book and yelled, "Look Daddy, here is a picture of me when I was a slave!!"

Reilly and Brooke were playing in the playroom. I had just gotten them undressed and ran into their rooms to get clothes. Reilly comes running out of the playroom yelling, "Mooooommmmm! SOMEBODY pooped in the playroom!!!" Ohhhhh, "somebody" huh Reilly? Maybe your sister?

About Mixing Words

Reilly is all about teenagers. I have no idea why, so I was explaining to her that you become a teenager at 13 and also mentioned that you have a Bat Mitzvah at 13. I asked her if she knew what a Bat Mitzvah was. She got all excited and said, "YES!" Then she said, "That is one of those things with a string on it full of candy." Um, no Reilly - that is a pinata. Really? How did she mix those up?

About Mommy

Mike was telling Reilly the story of mommy tonight...about how I grew up. He got to the part where I graduated college and Reilly cut him off and said, "Did mommy become a slave??"

Reilly's friend came over tonight, so as usual we locked the dog up in the garage. Reilly said to her friend, "He stays outside cause he bites people!"

About Making Up Words

Mike and Reilly are driving down the road and a song comes on the radio. Reilly starts belting out "...take me to...the MONKEYtown."
